BUT.......on Saturday evening, just when I thought I knew the new route, and asked the driver to stop near the Mosque, he said "Yes, the last stop"..... he then turned left at the Mosque traffic lights and stopped at the usual (old) terminus.

The new Dolmus route was trialed for one month and I understand that it has now reverted to the old route - drop and pick up at the Mosque.

Shame as the lovely old part of Fethiye town is often overlooked as tour operators organise trips to the Tuesday Market (inc. Gold & Turkish Delight Factories of course) and all the summer visitors think they have been to Fethiye when in fact they have just been to a market.

Fethiye, lots of nice shops, places to eat, a Marina, old ruins, and a wander off the beaten track along some of the back allys offer a little  insight into how local people live.

Nice photo opportunities and great views over Fethiye and the sea if you can make the upward climb.

Nichola
