Was saddened this morning to hear of the earthquake in southwest Turkey. It looks terrible.. Yesterday some pictures were sent to me on my phone by Mehmet who has the Merhaba restaurant in Calis. He is on holiday in that area. I tried to get in touch several times today but had no luck so I was worried for him. Thankfully he got in touch a few hours ago to say he was OK. I was caught in a quake about ten years in Calis and even though it was not as big as this one it was scarry. My thoughts and prayers go out to the poor people who have had this Thurst upon them.
