Hi Stoop
I hear there is a forum party/barbeque on wednesday! What if we bring a few flavours for people to taste? Would anyone like that?
Let me know and we will be there
Lesley

Perhaps you might be better asking Yonga? Maybe not very tactful to bring samples of food to a party when someone else is doing the catering.
-
Who is selling sausages? Where? and what kind? As I desparately need some!!! My English friends are due over and you know how we all like a good fry up.... Let me know and how much? thanks Oz xxxxx
-
Apparently Porkland have re-opened in Hisaronu under British management. They're importing all of their products from the UK.
-
There is the bacon shop but I dont know where that is in Fethiye! I miss having a bacon butty :(( Has the sausage shop closed?? I still never found it when it was open!
-
Justup from the Otogar on the Olu Deniz road on the left hand side there are two shops Tucem and Naz Gida, both sell excellent bacon Only snag is it is usually in 2.5kg packs(frozen). :)
-
Very sadly Hobbs Sausages is no longer in existence. You can buy English sausages from the two shops mentioned above and also Porkland in Hisaronu. They are OK but nowhere near as good as the real Hobbs Jobby.:( :)
-
Went into Porkland today.
They've now got Sausages, Danish Bacon and Gammon Steaks imported from the UK.
Prices are a bit expensive but it looks like quality stuff.
-
Can you recall any prices Alan?
-
Sausages in packs of 8 are 8YTL ( Country Park Pork or Pork and Tomato )
2 Gammon Steaks 16YTL
Danish Back Bacon 200g 7YTL and 400g 14 YTL
-
Nice to see a generous discount for buying the bacon in bulk :)
-
Naz Gida was 25TL a kilo for the 2.5kg pack a couple of weeks ago....but the price does fluctuate. :)
-
Anyone know if the Porklands are going to come round in the van.
-
We normally buy the sausages from Nazar Gida, pack of 10 pork sausages from Penrith,7.5 Ytl. Delicious,:P:P
Gordy.

mmmm bangers from the bacon shop not bad but a bit soft so you have to cut them and squash them into the frying pan or they disintegrate!
