Hi Stoop

I hear there is a forum party/barbeque on wednesday!  What if we bring a few flavours for people to taste?  Would anyone like that?

Let me know and we will be there

Perhaps you might be better asking Yonga? Maybe not very tactful to bring samples of food to a party when someone else is doing the catering.

Apparently Porkland have re-opened in Hisaronu under British management. They're importing all of their products from the UK.

Justup from the Otogar on the Olu Deniz road on the left hand side there are two shops Tucem and Naz Gida, both sell excellent bacon  Only snag is it is usually in 2.5kg packs(frozen). :)

Very sadly Hobbs Sausages is no longer in existence.  You can buy English sausages from the two shops mentioned above and also Porkland in Hisaronu.  They are OK but nowhere near as good as the real Hobbs Jobby.:( :)

Went into Porkland today.

They've now got Sausages, Danish Bacon and Gammon Steaks imported from the UK.

Prices are a bit expensive but it looks like quality stuff.

mmmm bangers from the bacon shop not bad but a bit soft so you have to cut them and squash them into the frying pan or they disintegrate!
