If you can travel in the next three months Thomson's have released a shedload of cheap return flights. Durations from seven to twenty eight days and departing from numerous regional airports. Here are the Turkey deals for travel within six weeks (http://www.thomson.co.uk/flight/deals/search?fromAirports=&toAirports=ADB%2CAYT%2CDLM%2CBJV&month=0&year=0&flexible=false&days=43&startDuration=1&endDuration=99&searchType=ins&oneWay=false), use the search facility at the top of their page for other destinations and dates. The prices are all hand luggage only so obviously will increase if you add hold bags.
There are a good selection of one way flights and fares as well. kicking off from £69.99pp.

Received an email from Thomas Cook yesterday offering Glasgow to Dalaman for £ 36.99 one way on 31 August 2016.
Went through the process and with luggage, seats and meals came to £ 527 which is not tragic for Scotland.

Hmmmm...............Just checked return flights from Manchester and they're FROM £189.00 to Antalya and £229.00 to Dalaman rising up to £350.00 and most flights have only got 1, 2 or 3 seats left.

Great price Edinburgh to Dalaman for 14 Nights from 25 August - £ 266.00 for 2 including luggage but without pre-booked seats and meals.
Horrible times though Depart 18:50 Arrive 01:25 and Depart 02:25 Arrive 05:00.
Still less than we paid each.

If you want to bitch/moan about flight prices I'm sure there's another topic available...
The person that sent me the link just booked a fortnight in Fethiye (from EDI) for £180 for both of them. Seats and meals? Well, if you must sit together and must partake of the airlines food then obviously you're going to have to pay for that privilege. Just don't complain that it bumps the price up :)
You want a hold bag? Yep, thats going to cost too. Try just taking one hold bag between two - cuts the add on cost in half.
Day time flights? Yep, that'll cost too - good flight times are rarely on the "last minute" lists, mainly because they're popular and folks are often willing to pay the higher prices so sell out quickly.
Bottom line is that these are cheap flights - in fact seriously cheap considering what some folks have paid recently. But they're cheap for a reason - these are the seats they cant fill due to poor sales, awkward flight times, regional departures etc.

Tough. You want it cheap, go from Gatwick, or Luton, or Stansted. Or go to Dalaman. Nit picking twat :)

They are good prices but not much use to people who are still working and have to book their holidays well in advance. :(

And when you are retired you may still have to book well in advance - because you have grandchild-minding duties. Still it is good of JF to post these flights, ain't it?

Jacqui - on price alone you cannot argue with £133.00 each return from Edinburgh.

Can argue because we don't want to drive to Edinburgh and then book the car into somewhere for a month. It would bring it to the same price as Aberdeen.

I have checked there are no flights for 1 month. When I put in a month it rejects it.

Obviously the flights will never suit anyone's particular circumstances.
The point of the thread is that there are cheap flights available if they happen suit a particular member's criteria.

I can travel in the next three months and there are loads and loads of flights. O.K.the one Aberdeen Flight I found is from August to September for 14 nights, no good to us. However, the bargain price is £409.00 each, Great, some bargain.
I note the majority of flights are from London and then Manchester.
If there is a flight from September to October for 1 month from Aberdeen I cannot find it. Also, I believe that all flights end at the end of Ocotber, so three months would take us to the end of October.
There are never cheap flights for us...

Yes, Scunner, been there done that and wild horses, as you know, would not get us back.
I have just had an email from Thomson's to tell me there are no flights available with a duration of one month from Aberdeen to Dalaman at the moment.

Jacqui, might be worth putting an alert on trip advisor. Just put one on myself,covers such a lot of companies saves trawling through every day. I didn't realise they did flights.
