Easyjet email re online check in
« on: March 15, 2013, 12:32:31 PM »
Today I have received an email (twice) from Easyjet telling us to check in online for our flight in three weeks time..
Does anyone know whether this is now a compulsory thing to have to do with Easyjet, I know I asked a few weeks back about doing online check in and we had decided not to do it,now it looks as though we have to...
Thanks for any replies  :)

It is much easier to do on line, as then you can just go straight through to departures at your UK airport, but there are massive penalties if you don't print off your boarding cards, it will cost you the equivalent of one persons holiday if you turn up without them.

Online check-in is fabulous - if you are hand luggage only.

I agree, we always check in on line, but I don't see how can they charge you massively just because you haven't a print out of a boarding card?

there was a family complaining in the national papers (in fact it was with  Ryanair) they were charged £236 quid tp print them off at the airport, daylight bloody robbery!

"As is clearly outlined in the terms and conditions for every Ryanair passenger, Mrs McLeod agreed at the time of booking that she and her fellow passengers would check-in online and print their boarding cards before arriving at their departure airport, and she also accepted and agreed that if she failed to do so then she would pay our boarding card re-issue penalty of £60 per passenger."

The way I see it, we are doing their jobs for them yet because they've written it in their 'rules', that if for some reason we can't print the cards off, they are at liberty to 'fine' us £60 per head? They have all the info on their computers anyway, how hard or expensive is it to print it for us - the CUSTOMER?
