I'm so with you on the anti TC stance, Jacqui. Awful, awful airline. And that's in comparison to some pretty bad competition.

Flew with Jet2 this time. They weren't too bad. But the planes still had ashtrays .......

Hoping when Phil retires we will be able to travel to other airports in the U.K.  But in the meantime hope Aberdeen will attract more Tour Companies. I really dislike T.C too.

I hate TC too, but would use them if they were cheapest/best times :(

Been no choice for us but T.C however as they always farm out our flights to Turkish airlines, it pleases us, as the Turkish airlines are much better.

And do the Turkish airlines fly direct to Dalaman from Aberdeen?

I have been seriously considering using Gatwick or Heathrow for the opportunity to fly direct on Turkish Airlines. Just to actually attempt an enjoyable flight for once and not be treated like a battery chicken.

I think Jacqui means airlines from Turkey, not Turkish Airlines.  ;)

TA are very good indeed (IMO far better than BA) but it's the wait at Istanbul - which can be a few hours or even next day for the vaguely connecting flight to Dalaman that is the pain. A far better idea is to break it up and spend a night or two in Istanbul prior to internal flight to DLM.

T.C. sell off their flights from Aberdeen to Pegasus and Freebird. So when people book with T.C. They do not mention this fact.  The only way to know for the novice is when they try to book seats together, meals etc., To the initiated we know by the flight number when it changes from TC.
However, the Turkish Airlines used are much better than T.C. nicer staff, good planes, more legroom and no hard sell every two minutes.  It makes the flights much more pleasant.
