Outraged ! But what can I do

These people are "not responsible for Baby P's death" as has been repeated a;; day across the media. They are murderers, animals, scum. I cannot find words strong enough to express my hatred for them.

For my money, not only should they be forced to "take their chances" without protection when released from prison, (which I hope they never are !), they should also be forced to "take their chances" without protection whilst in prison.

The idea, not only that they might be released one day, but that they may even be given new identities and a new life is totally abhorrent to me.

(I feel sure that many people throughout the country, and on here, will have the same sentiments).

But the question I would like answered is this. What, if anything, can I practically do to ensure that they are never given new identities and a new life ?.

Not sure you can - maybe lobby your local MP/prospective MP's to see if their party will stand up an be counted when the time comes for their release.

Having said that - although I agree with your sentiments I don't think any party will condone violence against these scum so my guess is they will get new identities when they leave prison.

Shame - in my mind they should reap what they sow.

Hate is a very wasteful and consuming emotion John. Any amount of hate will do nothing to help reverse what has happened. Besides, whereas I suspect the majority will agree that they would like just 5 minutes with them and a baseball bat, people like them shouldn't make people like us lawless either. Leave hate to those closer to them, and maybe accept that if they do get new identities, it is to protect society from the desire to commit anarchic acts as much as to protect them.

Me too, but pulling a switch legally is very different to throwing people into the arms of lynch mobs.

Presuasive arguement that. It's just that it makes my blood boil. But I still think that 1.) they should never be released and 2.)after reflecting on what you said, I still wouldn't give them new identiites. Sod them.

I'd settle for them staying in jail, I suppose.

Also agree with Pookie on the death penalty for this crime.

I just wish there was something I could do to influence matters.
