I suggest that HMG buy Iceland,evacuate all the population to some other God foresaken place,like Scotland,then nuke the place.[Iceland]
The airline companies could then reimburse the Government out  of the vast rip off profits they make.There would also be the added bonus that the Scottish fishing industry would benefit from the demise of Iceland
And last,but not least,everyone could have their hols.
I've just realised I might have upset people the other side of the border,so I suppose a second choice could be Wales..

Scottish weather would not suit them at all.  We sometimes get hot weather.

There is more room in America.

We still get the fish and sell it over the border.:
