" Iff you want the Government to stop the Benefits of the people who rioted on the London Streets sign here."

Why just the London Streets rioters?

anyone who is imprisioned due to a criminal offence loses their entitlement to social security benefits, that has always been the case. Doubletwo & Highlander, if it was a man with a family, then the partner then claims for the children.(so the taxpayer still pays!-lets face it how much does it cost us to keep these scum in prison -£500+ probably?)no-win,no-win for us then.

Just to make it clear, I want them punished to the full a well, but I don't want to punish two innocent 5 year olds as a result.

It is customary to wait until the defendant pleads guilty or is found to be guilty.

The key here is "responsibility"
Our country is being consumed by people wanting everyone else to take responsibility for their behaviour eg - was deprived as a kid, single parent families, my school was rubbish, there is nothing for kids to do, no jobs/low pay.

From what I saw, the majority of rioters were mere kids - where were their parents and shouldn't they be held responsible?

We live in a society that seeks to blame anyone and everything and never wanting to take personal responsibility for their own behaviour.  How many deprived, abused, poorly educated people have gone on to make a decent life for themselves (eg Jacqui and her husband's efforts to improve their lives) rather than holding their hand out for compensation after selling their "story" of hard times?

Stop counselling these yobs and make them take ownership of both their actions and the consequences - they (and their parents) should be clearing up, not the victims!

As I said John I know we can't take their money but at least by signing the petition they will know the strength of feeling against them.  What else can we do if we go out and protest we are as bad as them.

As for the two innocent children my heart goes out to them as they will never be taught right from wrong.  Their have been parents shouting on the tv that poor kids have nothing to do.  That is not the fault of shopkeepers or innocent people who have lost their homes.

On a positive note the amount of young folk who were out with brushes to help clean up mess that all is NOT lost for the next generation.
