There should be a bit of flesh showing between sock and kilt.
I seem to remember something about not wearing a belt buckle when you have a waistcoat - but can't remember what you are supposed to use instead, maybe just a plain belt????.

And possibly a size bigger waistcoat..............

tink - they may look odd to you :)

scunner - no sure about the laces but you'll have to blame Mrs H as she tied them :-\

diverbaz 1/scunner - re the waistcoat - yeah, yeah :)

jim - you are correct re the flesh - centre of the knee I believe(I did set it correctly before we left). And you are also correct re the buckle I understand.

But none of those the main thing that is wrong.

Hubby says the fact that you are wearing a belt with a Prince Charlie jacket is a no no! Also he agrees about the length of the kilt and says that the sgian dubh should be clearly visible.
