On our mini-tour of the Beautiful Scottish Highlands last June, Loz & I stopped off in Fort Augustus. I had to visit the loo, so went to the Toilet for Disabled,only to find that I needed a "Pass Code". when I asked at the "Toilet Reception rip-off kiosk" for the code, I was told that the person who gave the code was "out to lunch"?

They then wanted to charge for use of the normal toilet !! I told her to kiss my Scottish arse,& used the toilet, horrible persons!!

To answer your original question it's because most disabled people have to transfer from a wheelchair to the toilet and the only way to do this is with the wheelchair at 90 degrees to the toilet. The "abled bodied" cubicles are not wide enough to allow this.

If you want to run around whilst taking a dump use a field.

Most 'Abled bodied' toilets don't give you enough room to pull your pants down SteveJ which is why where possible we all use the 'Disabled' ones. Only when they are unoccupied of course!
