Ken Dodd is a fantastic act to see; really funny and astonishing stamina. Dara O'Briain, entertaining, clever but not dazzling. Victoria Woods especially by writing Dinnerladies is an unrivalled genius. Andy Hamilton, love his dry humour, I would like paul Merton more if he didn't sulk when others are a wee bit funnier than him.

I hear a lot about Victoria Wood being a comedy genius. I just find her irritating. Same with Dawn French, I just don't see her as in any way funny.

What does interest me is how two people can both find someone hilarious, but totally disagree on another.

Back on topic, I find Alexander Armstrong to be very funny, almost as funny as his sidekick Richard Osman.

I think you hear a lot about Victoria Wood being a genius...probably because she is! Dawn French? Jeepers that woman is not funny, and neither is the Vic of dib, and what is more she has produced one of the worst books ever, her autobiography.
Ben Elton if only for his input to Blackadder, 3 & 4.

Dawn French is not funny without Jennifer, some of their old sketches were great.

I have now read through all this thread and the thread about the worst comedians.....I am a little worried because I like everyone that nobody likes but equally I seem to like everyone that everybody likes!

I have only one that I hate....and I suspect I am not on my own....
