The Fat Duck near us, which was voted best restaurant in the world more than once I think in recent years and is consistently in the top 10, has a taster menu at £195 p/p.  Cheap as chips.   ;D  In fact you can get chips there I think.  Jonathan Ross takes his kids there for chips from time to time.  Hehe!

,they are quite a rare fish in England and almost non existent in turkey
I have eaten turbot in a fish restaurant overlooking the northern end of the Bosforus. I don't think it was the last one in Turkey. In Turkish they are called kalkan - which, some people say, accounts for the name of the resort just down the road from you, Lance.

Raymond Blanc is my hero.  I have been lucky enough to be treated to a meal at Le Manoir......and have dreamed of going back ever since.  What a wonderful wonderful experience.  If money were no object, I'd pay it.........but times are tight so its MaccyD's or nought these days  :)
