If it's a language thing, try shift and 2 (number 2 on top row). This is @ in some layouts. Till she gets it permaently changed to English layout that is.

It is an english one bought in carphone warehouse,Kenny has been on the net about it and a few people said they had a problem finding the shift, but they never said how they solved it,my daughter said none of the keys have shift written on them, and she has tried every key, to no avail, grrrr, must be something stupid, I was hoping someone had one who would know.

  Spot on Scun, but you have to press the nuber 2 key aswell, Kenny has just got back from carphone warehouse, but they never knew about the number 2 key, A big thanks for your help.
