How much longer
« on: September 07, 2013, 22:45:45 PM »
It's nine weeks in since that bold, some may say foolhardy statement.

So just how long should we continued to fund Detective Chief Inspector Andrew Redwood and his team of twenty-eight detectives and seven other staff to sun themselves in the Algarve.

Having lit the blue touch paper I am off to the bunker but will doubtless re-emerge to rant.

Aplogies - I should have added a photo showing a statement from the Met reported on 04 July saying that there would be arrests within weeks.

I can't add the image - aggggghhhhhhhhh :(

If the source for your point is the Daily Mail then we may as well close the thread now.  Do you really believe them to be simply "sunning" themselves in the Algarve?

Politicians and Journalists all work on the principle of sensation at all costs whilst
claiming maximum expenses.

"Never mind the truths -- ! want "the story behind the story" and if there
isn't one I will make it up!" or "this is all the fault of the previous Government" in the case of the
Politician.

However, if there is the slightest chance of rescuing that little girl and reuniting her with her parents
or proving she is dead so they can at least know, it should be pursued, and, if they really believe they have evidence then they must not give up on that.

May I suggest you prepare for an attack Highlander, ensure your gas cape is handy!  :)

My what a skewed view you have of the world. Your sermons must have been very entertaining. I'm wondering what or who you believe in now ?

Surely the police can't win - damned if they don't go and damned when they do??

If they really are still in Portugal after 9 weeks, surely that should mean that some new development has come to light , which is keeping them there? If so, more power to them, I would say.

On an aside from this, I would venture to say that the recent unashamed revelation by the "top cop" of Greater Manchester police , that only 40% of crimes reported by the public are ever acted upon in his bailiwick, is more in need of investigation than police officers in Portugal !!

JohnF - the source of my point was not exclusively the Daily Mail - it was just the easiest to screen shot - the report was carried in other newspapers.

The point is that the new review began in May 2011 and the police have recently stated that arrests will be made within weeks. But as yet nothing has happened for nine weeks.

If the Met are unable to come up with concrete results soon then I would suggest that it would be appropriate for Operation Grange to be dramatically scaled bac.k
