Just thought I would give a quick heads up on this one as they are now up and running for the season. Hearing that they also have a new chief six of us visited on Monday evening to give the food a try out, and I must say no one came away dissapointed.
There is a really good selection of both Turkish and western quisine, (they thankfully avoid the rice, frozen chips and salad side order trap!) and the main meals have some imaginative fresh vegetable accompaniments. The food was excelent and really competitivley priced. With the pleasant surroundings and great service I would recomend a visit if you fancy something a little different.
They also have an fairly extensive snack menue for those who fancy something a little lighter. ;)

Hi Phil, sounds really nice, where is Anna Gardens?
-
On the main road opposite Genpa supermarket
-
Somewhere else to try! :)
-
Have to agree with Phils post, the Anna Apart Hotel really is like a breath of fresh air for the Calis area. Have been in a couple of times now for a drink and last night had a meal there. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly and the place is lovely and clean with nice surroundings. Will definately be returning soon. Well done all at Anna Apart Hotel.

-
Ah got to go there now to see if there really is a scabby camel there

-
yes

Scabby camel looked even more depressed 'cos of the rain but I did have a really enjoyable meal Presented beautifully on the plate and tasted as good as it looked Only complaint was the mushroom sauce was so delicious would have liked a lot more of it I had chicken cordon bleu with a slight variation Would definately go again and think once the plastic sides are taken off so the gardens are all open plan style it will be most enjoyable Worth trying if you are in the area

Hi, has anybody stayed here?
Just seen price on Travel Republic for 24th Sept for a week, B&B, £34.07!!
I know somenone said it is opposite Gempa? supermarket, is this the near the turn off for Sunday market on main road?
-
yes it sure is, just along the road a little
-
Is that all inclusive?
-
Bigvic, that would be good!! Don't know how these hotels make any money at all with websites selling as cheaply as this? 8)
-
Jenny,we live practically next door to it and with Cathy taking it over,i would recommend it.I'd even pay £35..
-
Sounds really nice, just looked on their website, being on my own would you say it was safer walking to Anna's or Harman?
-
Don't walk ANYWHERE on your own,Jenny. A dolmus will take you from calis to Anna Aparts,it's on the main Fethiye road, the Harman is down a side street..
-
Thanks Vic, I try not to walk on my own at night, I usually stay somewhere nearer the front, but looking for bargains this year! It has been a bit scary reading the posts on here recently regarding muggings, cash machine scams etc, will extra vigilant!
One of the reasons I started to come to Calis was the feeling of safety in a small town.
-
Don't be scared, just be aware.there are very few incidents here, but one is enough.we have lived here for 5 years and have no intention of living anywhere else, that goes for most of our friends as well.lot safer than UK!!

Ha ha!
Here's my 'Lancelike' story of the day!
Mon I decided to go to Chester on National Express for the day. I drove and parked my car near to the Mterolink station to catch the tram into Manchester. I walked about 5 mins to the tram station, and Damn! (Or something to that effect!) I have left my phone in the car. Walked 5 mins back to the car, phone was in my bag.
Walked back to the station, (Think workmen thought I was on the game or something!)both ticket machines out of order, I would have to pay on tram. New ticket machines on platform, which was good. Bought peak time ticket £5 as it was before 9.30am. Stood freezing waiting for tram, when it came, it said Bury? I was waiting on wrong side of platform! I ran up the stairs, across the bridge, down the other side, fell down the last 3 stairs onto my knees, and guess what? The tram was pulling away! At that point I sat on the bench and seriously contemplated going back home! By the time I got on tram it was off peak an ticket would have cost £3! Anyway I had a really nice day, eventually, went on the open top bus around Chester, lovely lunch, and some holiday shopping, also met a very old lady on the coach who used to teach English in a Greek village, very interesting stories to tell.
Regards
Ms Bean [:(!]

Well we booked for September the bargain didn't turn out to be a bargain after all so we went through the travel agent. Please can you tell me if it is at the beach end as some friends are coming to calis in June and are going to find it for me. Is there really a scabby camel?[8)] :)
