-----AND if you go to Oba OR Cin Bal, the meal will be cooked for you.  You would only have to cook the meal yourself if you wanted to BBQ'd  food.

Good food at the Oba & Cin Bal without doubt, trouble is at this time of year Kavurma and the like don't taste the same with BBQ in the air, again our opinion.

LOL, noooo, I like Kavurma any time   ;)  Mind you, I didnt realise those places did Kavurma.   Haven't been to Oba for about 3 years, but plan to give it a go this year to compare (again) with Cin Bal.

We tried the Oba last night & had a good meal.  For those people who havent been there, here's a bit of info.
The place is not built solely for the Europeans & is not a lavish restaruant. They only deal with chicken & lamb, beef is not on the menu. Between 4 of us, we had 1.5kg of lamb 33TL, 2 Portions chips 8TL, 1 beetroot salad(just beetroot no salad)4TL, 1 double mixed salad 6TL, tonic was 2.5TL, beer 4TL.  At first i was not overjoyed when i realised i had to cook the lamb myself, but in the end i realy enjoyed it & we had a very good time.  The lamb was very tender & juicy.  We were the only non-turks there & there must have been at least 30 Turks and this was at 9pm & people still arriving, that tells a story dunnit??.  A must to try if you haven't done so already.  Thanks for everyone for their imput.  Alan

My favourite is Kaya Park although I haven't been for a while I have been a regular over the years. They have tree houses at different heights - I like the highest one myself although not so great for young children who like to run around but there are some just raised off the ground.

There is an intercom in the tree houses to the restaurant so you have your privacy but can request more food and drinks when necessary.

If you like to BBQ yourself I would do this and share some mezes to start. Always a lovely breeze in Kaya which is a pleasant relief in this heat. Prepared food also available.

To get there drive or take Dolmus to the Kaya Clock Tower and turn right and its a few metres down on the right set back from the road.
