We had dinner there last week and it was lovely.
Attentive service, excellent fresh meze and melt in the mouth lamb cutlets.
we sat outside and it was a great evening, definately one to try.
Tables were all full with mostly local families which is always a good sign.

We went here twice in June, the first time it was full and buzzing and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, the second time unfortunately, it was totally empty and we were the only 2 people there which rather took the edge of the evening   We will give it another try in September. Scunner -How spicy is the Adana Kebap please ?

Ocakbasi is used mainly by Turkish folk so whereas you may not care what day you go, it could well be that you went on a Friday first (busy) and say a Tuesday next (quiet). As with the UK, restaurants that are popular locally are far busier Fri/Sat. I for one don't distinguish between days of the week on holiday.

It's strange about the Adana kebap, I never thought of it as hot/spicy, just tasty - then took someone who can't handle anything even slightly spicy and they thought it was way too hot. I know that doesn't answer your question but I'd say I've tasted waaaay spicier but none as tasty :D
