Flying out Monday, and love my food though not really tried Turkish cuisine, think I've only ever had 2 kebabs, well that I can remember :D
Anyway what would you recommend, for a main meal, or snack.
Cheers

I should also mention, if your two kebabs were in the UK, they are irrelevant. Turkish people visiting the UK would NEVER eat that cr4p! Give it all a try, it's surprising and if you don't like something much, it won't have cost you a fortune  :)

Try Aydin Pide, the chicken stir fry is lovely, and as yabanci said, the pide is nice as well. Alan

Iskender Kebab.  I particularly recommend a place called Nefis Pide for kebabs, in the Paspatur area of Fethiye.  Basically you can see their tables and chairs opposite th Infinity Jewellers that has only one entrance (there is also a two entrance Infinity, just to clarify).  You will see mostly Turkish people eating there, which is always a good sign.

Mouth is watering, keep em coming  ;) Love eating where the locals eat, when we were in Rhodes we found a great little place where the locals hung out, the waiters and cooks would come out and sit with their families, the atmosphere was great and the prices were better than the main area. Food was fresh and man size portions. Who cares if the service was slower, we weren't on a half hour lunch break!!
