The extension which has taken over where Hamish Mcturk used to be  (He is now located in the rear of the building next to Kent Vets) is completed and does look quite flash :)

Have to agree with the posts on Zakkum. I have been there quite a few times since last summer and cannot fault the staff, the setting or any of the food I have eaten there. The selection of 3 course set menus are excellent value. A nice place to also get away from the hassle of various street vendors & sellers.

Daffodil - you are making us "homesick"   :)

We went there on New Years Day with our neighbor (Col) and had a lovely meal of 3 lots of Fish, Chips & Peas - and it was perfect!!!! :D

Your other point is equally well made very  clean toilets and good access - they deserve to do well for their efforts and for keeping their prices very reasonable - long may it continue.

Does anyone know if the Zakum has live British music on a Saturday evening, I know it is advertised but a few places are in the local papers that are not even open.
Thanks
Mark

Went to Zakkum last night with my daughter (her 1st visit there) and we both enjoyed great set menu.
15TL each for : garlic prawns starter in a sizzling dish,
cod fish and chips (portions were too big for us to finish it all)
Pancakes with lemon and sugar
I had a lovely glass of house red too.
It was quiz night and i don't usually go in for these things but it was all well organised and a bot of fun.
Yes they do have live music on Saturdays but it has been SOLD OUT for the last 2 weeks as people are booking up early.
I will get along and try it.
It's Tom MOss who i think is well known on this forum.
