I have recently had to buy tablets from a chemist in Gunlukbaşi, I know they cost 24.55ytl, it has it written on the end of the box as in all medications.
First time I gave him 3
30ytl and he gave me 1ytl change I had to query it, he gave me the other 4.45ytl ok I thought it was a mistake.
Second time I bought the same tablets from a female assistant in the same chemist, gave her 40ytl, she gave me 15ytl change she was not best please when I asked for my other 45, how many times has this happened and we are not aware because how many count their change?? usually not me but I did this time because I knew the price I should be paying,watch out guys. ausgal

Didn't know there were 30YTL notes. And 3 x 30 used to be 60. Obviously I've not been paying attention !! LOL

Most of us accept that the odd Kurus here and there don't really matter. It's a Turkish thing!

You'll learn that it's not unusual to get a couple of Paracetamol as change in chemist's or a couple of sweets in other shops.

ok kayakoyuoldtoy (oops what a long name did I spell it right)?? the 3 on its own was a typing error!! have you heard of them?? as for learning I will never learn to be ripped of by peopole who think because we are foriegners we are stupid!!!!!! I want my correct change, try watching the Turkish if they get the wrong change. MY HUSBAND IS ONE OF THEM SO I AM NOT A RACIST AND JUST BEFORE ANYONE SAYS IT I WILL NOT GO BACK TO UK THIS IS MY COUNTRY NOW AND I LOVE IT HERE BUT I WILL NOT BE RIPPED OFF AND NIETHER SHOULD YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ausgal
