It does get a bit embarrasing tho. when the market traders yell 'Hello, Mrs Ali Baba'. $:-\$ :

I keep telling Carl to go away if he wants something & leave it to me. He once paid £10+ for a belt - I nearly hit the ceiling, had there been one in the market!

He now tells me what he wants away from the stall & wears mirror glasses

, his eyes are such a giveaway - he's such a soft touch - I despair of him sometimes.

I just can't understand why I'd never even thought of haggling at the DIY shop?

The prices at Park diy are good, so no good haggling on small items but if spending a few lira then as with anywhere here cash talks, after all the kdv man takes 18%, if you pay by card the bank will take another chunk, so savings can be made.
