is it my imagination or does the pork from these shops not taste quite right?
The fillet seems ok but the chops have a horrible tang to them.

Yes Mark that shop is opening one in Calis, the owner told us last week.

Tinks some of the products come from Greece,Italy & Germany so it may well be a different taste than you are used to.

Have to say I took one look in the freezer at Tutcem and decided not to bother as things did not look very well kept.
Still came away with lots of tins, packets and bottles though!! Oh and the corned beef was horrible too.

Are the pork products factory sealed, with factory sell by dates? As one of the great pork hoarders, I discovered that pork even if it doesn't get defrosted/refrozen, tends to deteriorate over time if kept constantly frozen for long periods.

The other Pork shop near Tansas keep frozen stuff the same way.Surely the way it is presented in the freezer doesn't effect the product.
