Roll-Up Awnings
« on: April 03, 2011, 15:48:53 PM »
No not the golden virginia / rizla type ;) but the plastic roll-up awnings that people use to enclose their patio areas in the colder months - same material that they use on caravan awnings.

Can anyone make any recommendation of company that supply and fit these, their contact detail/location would be very useful, as would an idea of pricing.  Thanks

Do a search and maybe get advice first. Whilst they are very common I seem to remember they were illegal to install and you could have problems if a neighbour complained. :)

This was discussed in 2006.  The link is below:

Tinx thanks for the supplier's directions etc.  Were new into the Villa in Calis, so Brian and Tom thanks for the proceed with caution warning, when your new into the area, we don't want to kiss of the neighbours, nor give some plum who has taken a dislike to you or what you are doing the chance to complain - a common occurance in both Turkey and the UK unfortunately.:(

I don't think they are illegal as they are not a permanent fixture and they roll up for the summer. We have them and they are one of the best purchases we have made .We are able to sit out all winter and they made the downstairs of the villa 5 degrees warmer in the winter.
