Salt & Vinegar Crisps
« on: September 11, 2015, 07:17:00 AM »
I have heard that a Turkish version of salt & vinegar crisps is available.  Anyone seen these in any of the supermarkets?

Do you mean Lays, which are the same as Walkers?

I'm told they are only available during summer; they've been available quite a few places but haven't seen them so much recently.

However, that said, I was in the Migros in Hisarönü yesterday and they had plenty.   :)

No - they are not Lays/Walkers.   They are a Turkish supplier and hopefully will be available all year!

Yes, OH brought them home the other day, not sure where he brought them from.  They are nice, but not as nice as Lays/Walkers but great for a S&V fix .  Can't remember the brand name, but we also had cheese and onion flavour from them aswell.  Similar  pricing as Lays- 2.75tl for a just over 100g bag.

We bought the salt and vinegar Lays to try and really enjoyed them, not as strong as Walkers i thought....
We got them from what used to be the twins mini market by the Calis taxi rank...
