Yes Margaret, we bought all our fittings there. Very reasonable but as you say, you are spoilt for choice.

If that light shop is called Gunes, we bought all our lights from them as well.

The shop we used more than 2 years ago is called "Fethiye Avize", & is actually in Patlangic, which is still part of Fethiye. The family converted their house to show the best selection of lights I've ever seen under one roof! Don't try to "haggle" though, as his prices are the cheapest around, & you won't get any more discount from him. He can also arrange fitting, but we know of many people who can do this, so maybe it's better to shop around for the fitting prices.

P.S. Fitting is "MONTAGE" in Turkish. He also has the franchise for "Westinghouse" ceiling fans,American made ,pricy, but fully guaranteed whereas the cheaper ones are not!!!!

Sorry, Fethiye Avize is in Karaçulha NOT Patlangic.

Mustafa charges YTL3.5 per light to fit. Say you have 30 lights in total that comes to YTL105 - at todays rate that equates to about £45 - Is it really worth shopping around for a cheaper MONTAJ price???

If something goes wrong better to have one ass to kick

Can you explain with directions where these shops are. I'm going over in early May and want some bedside and other lights. I presume they do bedside lights too?
Thanks.

Gunes.......from Migros go to the traffic lights and turn left  and it is about 500 meters on the right hand side of the road immediately past the first petrol station.
Fethiye Avize....their website is www.fethiyelight.com and features  a catalogue and also has a map giving directions. :)
