Taking a Name off a Deed
« on: August 10, 2015, 13:56:16 PM »
Someone has just asked me about the above, as they are to get a divorce and would like to remove with her permission, his wifes name from the deed.  Has anyone done this and what was the approximate cost.  I know there would be tax to pay, but, not sure if on the full deed value or half of the deed value.

Basically, she has to sell him her share - cost would be dependent on who they used (solicitor, emlak etc) and the value of the property.

That is as I thought, I think a solicitor would be the first step.

Nah, if its all amicable then an emlak would do it at a fraction of the cost - speak to Cenk from Interturk or Ronnie from Coast2Coast.
