Gunlukbasi sewage connections
« on: October 09, 2007, 08:26:01 AM »
The new sewage pipes continue to be laid. The time must be approaching when connections from houses etc to the system are to be made.

Does anybody know;

1. Will connection be compulsory and if so, when?
2. Is it our responsibility to arrange and pay?
3. Does anybody have an idea of the cost of connection?

For ourselves, we are in no hurry for the connection and our septic tank suits our needs.

The reason for the enquiry is that a neighbour of ours, they live in a row of terraced houses, has been given a bill, from their, landlord for 1000YTL for connection to the system.

It was explained to them that all of the houses (4) will each have to pay 1000 lira each.

We have told them to wait, for the moment, and not to pay the bill.

Four houses, one septic tank, one connection.A charge of 4000 lira!!!
