Our door went the same way. I have some experience with re-polishing etc., but could do nothing with it.    The gardener/maintenance man took my husband to a shop on the Gunlukbasi road and he picked out a whole new section for the door which is not a regular size so it had to be specially made.. There was a lot of choice in patterns.   The guys from the shop came and fitted the new piece to the door, also gave us new brass door furniture.  I have some images if you want to email me I will send them to you.
Jacqui... just back from Calis after two lovely weeks

Hi Jacqui, I am not sure our door is the same construction.  It is metal,  all metal, it seems.  So I cant imagine how a new panel can be made.  Interesting you had the same problem though.

Glad you had a good time in Calis.  Will you be back again this year?

Our door is ALL metal, in one sheet.  The panels are sort of dented in t it, but not a separate thing.  I fear a repaint is the only answer.  Not tried anything yet, but it seems its the original paint that has discoloured and the polish has just shined the discolouredness of it.  LOL, new word.

Will contact you  :)

O.K. checked out details from the old man, it is a totally metal door and the piece covers the front completely, so a whole new front, it's not just a panel...  Sun has gone to my head.
