Aircon Filters
« on: August 16, 2013, 10:02:17 AM »
If your like me there are some instruction manuals I never go near, Aircon units being one of them. The reason is that I find the range of functionality almost bewildering. Anyway, the other day I picked up the manual to try and work out how to set up the unit to automatically maintain a temperature and for the fan to oscillate up or down accordingly. It turned out to be pretty simple but then I stumbled across the maintenance section where it recommended cleaning filters every two weeks ! Our units were serviced just over a year ago and so I thought I'd better give this a go. I was shocked to find this when I removed the filter.

Hence my job for today is cleaning each of the units.

I just wash them off with the shower every couple of weeks and of course leave them to dry before refitting them. They collect a lot of dust in that time so the air con won't work properly if the dust collects and builds up.

Have fun   :)
