Post by: Old Daffodil on May 31, 2009, 20:35:21 PM
Now that the car boot sales in Calis are not on and Hisaronu is looking as if the car boot sale there is doubtful, where can I go to buy a book at a reasonable price?

The book stall on the Marina is pricey although they do have a good selection. They charge half of the original cover prices so you could end up paying six or seven quid for a second hand paperback you could pick up at the carboot sales for a couple of lira. :)

Actualy Amazon do deliver to Turkey so if you have a PTT box it is always an option, although the postage cost might make it an expensive one. Cafe Pazar always have a reasonable exchange library as do FIG

Most of the book shops here in Fethiye have a small English section at around 5tl each, there is still the one on the sea front but I think they are a little expensive at 5-10tl, and there is a little hand made jewellery shop near the fish market square the has some for 3tl.

Oh dear, you just joined and are now carrying website adverts with your posts.  Lots of us have connections with websites, but we use this excellent Forum to get and pass information mostly about the Calis area.
Scunner usually charges if you want to advertise something. :-\
