Just a reminder that the annual Uzumlu Mushroom Festival takes place this Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6,7,8 April.
Well worth a visit. Really surprised that this has not been posted before.

Yes I have seen the publicity on FT Nichola and very good it was. What I meant was I am surprised that there was nothing posted on CBF's Uzumlu forum from those who live in the Uzumlu area (may be they are getting a bit fed up of the thousands of people descending on their lovely village for this annual extravaganza lol ;) ;) Sorry peeps your stategy didn't work - it is too good a day out to miss ;D

The first time I went was a good few years ago at a time when just a handful of people turned out.
Last year I went on Sunday and it was absolutely rammed. Hard to park, hard to walk around in a relatively small group, cars parked all the way back both ways on the main road, stalls of crafts and food galore on every corner outside every house. It was great.
But, a bit too busy for my liking so we're going on Saturday this year.
