A friend has an account with Finans bank, she uses the branch in town, she says she has had problems as they have not been in Turkey for a year, which they did not expect, and though they have emailed the bank to transfer money from their savings account to their current account, this has not been done and no reply to emails. Consequently, their electricity bills have not been paid and friends arriving have found their is no electricity. She said they cannot opt for Internet banking as it takes too long for the PIN numbers to arrive. She said she has had problems making herself understood in Finans.
Any suggestions?

Kemal at Deniz bank is excellent and speaks perfect English, they have a good rate of interest and he will always do his best for you.

I find the trouble with English speaking staff at banks is, There is no guarantee they will stay at the Bank. The staff seem to move from bank to bank. We joined one Bank as we were told Alper was great. He was and we had no problems at that Bank. Then he moved banks and wrote to customers asking them to come to his new bank. We did that, after a while he moved again and once again asked us to move banks. We decided enough was enough and stayed where we were.
So, finding a Bank with someone great who speaks English, is only good if you can get a guarantee they will not move on.

Is Ayshe no longer at the Finans bank? There were a few English speaking young Turkish ladies upstairs at the Finans Bank when we used it.
