Some have asked me, and I'm sure many more have wondered about the lack of our learned CBF colleague Colwyn. He had not posted for some time and I emailed him to see if he was ok.
I received a reply not too long after from his wife, the long suffering Hilary to say he had suffered a major health setback which meant he was unable to use his computer. The good news is that he is making progress with that. Hopefully enough that he will be able to read this (that's why I said "long suffering" Hilary :D )
He has been very helpful and full of Turkey knowledge. It is not often a member causes the creation of a new forum section - but Colwyn's stories and observations did. If you haven't spent an hour or two check it out. If you have spent an hour or two reading them, go read them again.
Get a coffee, wine or whatever is your tipple and head over to the Colwyn Inspired Turkish Tales (http://www.calis-beach.co.uk/forum/index.php?board=47.0)
Get better soon my friend, and post on here to confirm it :)

Apologies if I have missed it, but is there an update to this thread? I realise a whole year has passed but am hoping Colwyn is recovered.

I can see when people have last logged in and for Colwyn's account it wasn't too long ago (better be careful or he'll be lecturing me on his data protection rights ;) )
I've sent his wife Hilary an email to ask how he's doing - would be great to hear back from her - or even better from him, as that would mean he's doing ok.
I'll keep you all informed if I hear anything.
