Title: Nevada Hotel
Post by: KIP on April 11, 2015, 14:22:56 PM
I'm staying at the Nevada and I have to say I can't fault the accommodation at all. Lovely room, big double shower enclosure, king size bed.
The room is bright and clean, the bedding and towels are great and there is a small TV with a couple of English speaking news channels, free wifi and a little kettle and cups (a couple of coffee sachets, teabags and some creamer and sugar when I arrived but this is not replenished - but I brought my own coffee so that's fine). Also a small minibar fridge. I paid extra (£2/day) for the safe.

Breakfast is more than adequate - omelette cooked to order, fresh bread, meats/cheeses/olives etc. and cereals as well.

Don't think I'd eat here for dinner but the location is fine to wander out to eat.

The pool area is clean and there are plenty of sunbeds.

Staff are very pleasant and helpful.

Very happy to recommend this place   :)

We stayed at the Nevada last year in May, and was really happy with our stay, rooms are great, and really lovely staff, would have stayed again but the prices have gone up nearly double this year, so will be staying elsewhere,

My son stayed there the night before he got married, one of his friends was staying there too.  Other friends and family at the Oykun.   They all spent time at both places, but liked the Nevada the best.   ;)

We have also stayed at Nevada albeit only for one night but we loved it, I loved the big shower cubicle and powerful shower so much I reckon I had four showers in one day lol!
Is the pool warm enough for swimming at the mo?  ;)

We stayed at the Nevada Spa last June and loved it.  We are going back again this June.  For us, this is the nicest hotel in Calis we have stayed at - we were also impressed with the shower, room great, it was good to have the safe in the room rather than at reception.  Looking forward to going back.   Price for June works out roughly £20 per night for the two of us but I think it is double that in September.

I paid less than £80 for the week B&B from 7th to 14th April.

Haven't braved it - but have seen kids in the small kids pool area, but that is shallow of course!

Never actually stayed there but have used their hamam on a number of occasions.  The staff have always been friendly and the place is lovely and clean.  The pool area looks good too.

We always recommend the Nevada and we have booked it for have said that it is a good hotel, clean with great .  However, look to booking through Travel Republic or someone similar, as their rates are usually better than booking direct, strange I know but that is the way it happens.

I looked at the Nevada for our "traditional" week in October, after several friends stayed and liked it. We liked what we read about it but the one thing that put us off was the distance from the beach and main street/bridge. The girls will be 15 this visit and will probably want a bit more freedom to come and go as they please without the parents. I would worry about them having to cross that dual carriageway and also if they wanted to go back to the hotel after dark, we couldn't let them walk up those unlit lanes alone. It's a shame because it does look very nice.

So the Oykun it will be for us again  :)

The roads leading up to the hotel are all lit at night - must admit I was worried about walking back at night, but it was all well lit by street lamps.  However, i would agree, it might not be suitable for 2 young girls walking on their own.  Also agree, booking through Sunshine or Travel Republic much cheaper than booking direct.

What makes it a little bit special is that lovely Eylem works there!

We stay not far from the Nevada we are about 5 minutes walk further on and in the evenings, we get a taxi down to the prom, we always use the same guy. It cost 6 lira each way(up to last year) we always give him a ring when we are ready to come back and he is always there in a few minutes.
So Scunner, if you ever want to stay at the Nevada, I can pass the taxi driver's number on to you to pick up the girls.

That is really kind of you Jacqui re Scunner,s girls using your taxi driver if they ever stay at Nevada Su...
I agree with you Scunner re not wanting them to walk thst area if it were dark, that road that leads to the Pelin down from Nevada is where a flasher (well he was doing more then flashing) has been spotted this year already...

A lot of the yellow cab drivers give you their phone numbers.  We got our guy's number from our neighbours in Calis a few years ago now.  We find him very reliable and friendly. He brought his beautiful (I mean that) wife one night in the taxi to meet us.  We have even been to his house to see his baby.  So we are very confident to use him and know he would look after Scunner's family.

I have just come back from another week at the Nevada.

Changes include the rather shabby carpets being removed and replaced with laminate (good!) and Eylem on reception leaving to work elsewhere (sad!).

I found the rooms and facilities very acceptable, especially for £113 per week B&B (booked through TravelRepublic).

The free wifi was reliable and the aircon very good and included in the rate (definitely needed last week!).

The only slightly negative comments I have are that a late checkout is expensive at £20 (in fact more than the nightly rate I paid) and the prices at the pool bar are a bit hefty. But all things taken into account I paid both these charges with good grace, considering the overall value.

The staff are pleasant and helpful, it is in a handy spot (took me about five minutes walking to get on to the seafront) and the dolmus to Fethiye is very close outside the Remer hotel on the dual carriageway.

I gather Eylem is now working in Olu Deniz.
