We stayed at the Area some years back - the rooms varied - we had an absolutely tiny room right at the front(which had a very tiny wardrobe) and our friends had a large room consisting of two floors.  The breakfast was very good and the swimming pool and gardens probably the best along the front.

I have not stayed at Area, but have used there pool most days when I stayed at the Remer last year, I had a look at the rooms, and they were basic but lovely and clean, I would thoroughly recommend staying there!  :)

An alternative to the Area would be the Seketur hotel. This is the next hotel to the Ceren.Large pool and the rooms are always clean and the receptionist Melih speaks good English and is very helpful.

I'm staying in Ovacik in June, going round to Kas for 2 days on 22/23rd, but will be in Calis often.
On a previous post I mentioned a possible meet up one night in Calis so members could meet each other? I'll stay in Calis that night so I can have a few drinks, I don't normally drink as i'm traveling on my own.  :)
