Yes we are great at winning games when there isn't much riding on them! Had this been a World Cup Quarter final we would have reverted to playing like statues that have never met each other before  ;)

I think its the first time we have beaten the current World Champs since the thirties  :)

1980 with a victory against Argentina. I may be wrong but I think it was mentioned on commentary last night.

Get your head out of the sand lads, we are not world class, in fact a long way off it, no matter what the world rankings say by beating lower teams ;)

He's right! Good performances when the heat is on is what great teams are about and we are bottom in the World rankings for that. Spain, by the way, have nothing to prove in friendlies right now.

Correct - maybe it was 30 years ago I heard  :)

Still a long time ago since we did that. The performance was outstanding last night. They did what they had to do to stop them playing their usual game and then got the goal to win the match.

Simples :)

No

Be honest, if last night was the World Cup Final, do you think England would have won? Not a chance.

Nobody said we were world class or that it was a world cup final, it was a freindly against the top team in the world, they played their full squad and put in every effort to win the game, England tried a few new players and did exeptionally well to beat them.
Take the positives for a change and stop being so negative about everything they do.
