Chris Hughton (Birmingham City Football Club)- unbeleivable acheivement- we released 27 players pre season, played Europa League Football, had no money to buy anyone, have a transfer embargo on us until 31/07/12 & we stil end up in the playoffs after playing 60 games. If we still had Alex Mcleish,we would have been facing relegation now. This man has performed nothing short of miracles with what he's had to work with & fantastic motivational skills.

Moi biased - never ! Seriously he has done a cracking job this year just to keep us out of the papers for all the wrong reasons and in them for the right reasons.Put that together with the teams performance despite spend less than many other clubs I think he's a contender.

....despite spending less than many other clubs...

which is just as well becuase he can't spend money on buying some of our players to supplement his squad ;)

My `manager of the year` award goes to Mark Yates of Cheltenham Town FC   div 2    who... on argueably the smallest budget in the entire football league managed to get us in the div 2 play offs  this season  :D  what an achievement  !!!!  [^]

The reason for my post was that I was fairly sure that the Scottish Manager of the Year Award would go to Neil Lennon of Celtic and so it has.

A complete nonesense when you consider Lennon's achievement against Derek Adams of Ross County. :(:(:(

What was Lennon's achievement exactly? Winning a two horse race with the other horse on it's knees? Well done Neil.

Exactly. Adams led Ross County on a 34 unbeaten run and won the league his team competed in by 24 points and did so with 5 games in hand.

I would have thought that anyone could argue with that even before taking into account Lennon's appalling disciplinary record.
