Good Luck England

.

I have severe reservations about England's ability to make a winning (or even drawing) start but the very best of luck for tonight

France unbeaten for 21 games and it will probably be 22 after tonight. It would be great if we could win but I don't think it will happen.

It went exactly as I told my neighbour yesterday - I said we would draw 1 - 1 or nick it by one goal - and we would be very organised and hard to beat.

However - I didn't expect us to be playing the French and the Italians (officials) in the same game.

Pointers for next game Roy:

Leave young Oxlade Chamberlain out - he didn't do enough for the team - play Defoe from the start.
If possible take out Johnson - looks good going forward but wastes too many balls and doesn't get back quickly enough after another of his fruitless runs.

Do that Roy and I can see the semi's looming on the horizon - all in all 7 out of 10 and lets not forget - against a very good team.

Ian   :)

Get rid of Milner and replace him with someone who can cross the ball to within 10 metres of a team mate

Workhorse - not pretty - every team needs a few and occasionally he delivers   :)

He couldn't deliver newspapers - just like Downing, gets the opportunity to put in a testing cross and fires it into the crowd - either behind the goal or on the far side of the pitch
