England edge it
« on: June 16, 2012, 06:16:08 AM »
Ok so we won last night but we were lucky. I thought Sweden were poor in the first half and in the second we were
and made them look good. We have no flair in the side to open up defences and create many chances so it was a
relief when our man Walcott came on and livened things up a bit. If we do get at least a draw against Ukraine and reach the quarters that will be as far as we go.

Yes I agree very painful to watch and unfortunately we as "fans" are always waiting to be disappointed which I find to be a sad situation to be in.

The sorry thing is I cannot see where we can change they way we play.

Looking forward to Tuesday with some apprehension!!!

England have no idea what to do when they take the lead. Despite the win I thought we were unimpressive.

you guys are unbelievable...unbeaten and likely to go through to next round, we have rooney coming back for the next game and I think a lot to look forward to, this is not a full strength England team and we really should get behind them

I am convinced that England fans are never happy unless they are moaning.

There were numerous times during the campaign, when people wouldn't have given tink's, gorgeous bird'ss and others beloved Chelsea a cat in hells chance of winning the Champions League. So lets just wait and see shall we.

Yep, that just about covers it :D The way they perform match after match in tournaments made us like this.

I am not sure about the manager choice for England but I must say that he seems to be changing things for the better. Hodgson change the way we play by placing carroll up front as an ariel threat as he felt this was the best way to make an impact (it worked). He then changed things again when he used Walcott as a substitute (that also worked). The ethos at such an early stage in the competition seems to be that if we score more goals than them we will continue in the competition. Tinx is right when he says about Rooney and having him back in the team will boost confidence, our defence looks a bit ropey at this moment in time but let's hope we get that sorted.

COME ON ENGLAND!!!

We have a two specific problems. We can't get that second goal and we can't hold a single goal lead. Those two together...
