Also what about `that goal` the one that crossed the line...  we were lucky ( remember lampards disallowed goal ) it all balances out.. :-)  but at 1-1 then ,  as it should have been would have given Ukraine even more fresh imputus for the remaining minutes  and they might  even have snatched it 2-1.... but it wasnt given so we got lucky... but now its the big boys.. lets see :-)

Ashley Young - wins the "I have a chip on my shoulder" award as well as contributing nothing offensively.

The "old" heads are doing a good job though - but ask yourself 2 questions:

1. - "would you buy a season ticket to watch this" - NO
2. - "will you be happy if we get to the final playing like this" - YES

Football fans - who said we were fickle   :)   :)

it all balances out.. :-)

As the wonderful Al Green said on the radio about that very point - two wrongs don't make a right. I agree.

if the goal had been given you would be having a different conversation, like why was it given when he was miles off side?

would video technology, had it been in operation, dealt with the goal line issue only or the offside issue as well.

Do you mean video goal line technology Highlander? I believe that will only be used on the Goal line if it ever comes in!

So the goal would have stood last night.

Possibly - but that doesn't necessarily mean that the result would have been 1-1!!!

I have to say id have had Rooney off at half time, i thought he looked way of the pace but in these tournaments you need a bit of luck as we all know and Rooney was in the right place at the right time. The ball over the line would have stood of course but you can`t think what might of been because id never have got over Italia 90 if that was the case!  ;D ;D

I haven't got over Italia 1990!!!

I can't see the logic in playing Rooney from the off, he was quite obviously going to be rusty and off the pace - so why not bring him on on 60 or 75 minutes if required? I must also say that I am apparently alone in thinking that the ball wasn't 100% over the line (99% maybe).
