What a disappointing game and right through it we were shouting for Roy to take off Ashley Young who was playing absolute rubbish.  As soon as he stepped up for the penalty we both knew he would miss.

would totally agree with you Des - Rooney has never been "International Class" - it's all hype with him  :(

So why pick Young and Cole...COLE to take penalties. Cole over Carroll, last time I checked Carroll was a Centre Forward....  I blame the new haircut it's made Cole dizzy.

England will never again win a major tournament because of one simple fact.... the majority of English youth prefer playing football on their games machines rather than the real thing, whereas in Africa and South America and some of the poorer countries for example the kids are out on the streets and beaches kicking around anything that resembles a ball...
and that`s where it all begins

Not gutted at all about last night... we were outplayed and I salute Italy , the best team won and had we won on penalties that would have been an injustice... but still think the `classy` Germany will win the tourney

Pundits didn't perform much better. A. Shearer.........."Balotelli as yet to prove himself, he hasn't achieved anything yet"

Err
Champions League medal
3 serie A championship medals
1 Italian Cup medal
1 FA Cup winners medal
1 Barclays Premiership medal
European young player of the year award.

Not bad for a 21 year old
