Too much money was raised by CBF & Rimms' Calis event so it was decided to ask how best the surplus should be spent.

Liz101 posted to say that one of Stuart's passions was kids being able to hear, and the general opinion here was that it would be fitting for the extra to go towards hearing aids for kids.

So to answer the question, it was the decision of the people who raised the money in the first place.

understand that keith. i thought that monies raised would be used to finance the gravestone for stuart. spoke to linda last night as it was the first time she had seen this post and she told me she had to pay nearly 1800 lira to complete the gravestone as weather over the winter months was not too clever for working on it. now complete and a lovely job.

Not sure what you mean Jack - I'm fairly sure headstones can be made in all weathers?

This was the headstone as I was advised in March - see Stuart MacDonald (aka Rod Stewart) Headstone thread on here.

I do not know what else was done over the winter.

I am fairly sure that the 3Cs were not approached for additional funds after making the initial payment but I will try and confirm.

Please do. If extra funds were needed we had extra funds - hence the question what did members think we should do with the extra cash.
