Fethiyespor kick off the new Lig 2 season with a home game this Saturday evening against Fatih Karagumruk.KO is 7.00pm.The visitors from Istanbul lost 2-1 on their last visit to Fethiye 2 seasons ago,and lost their last 3 away league games last season 3-0,4-1 and 3-0,so Fethiye should be hopeful of picking up 3 points.
It will be interesting to see  where the goals will come from this season as 2 of last seasons top 3 scorers have left the club,Emre Okur and Ugur Erdogan. In their place have come 26 year old Emir Gokce from Tepecikspor and a former Besiktas youth player and 31 year old Cemre Atmaca who was with Sariyer last season, both of whom scored 8 goals last season.
Fethiyespor have  also signed a couple of new defenders, Selcuk Calisir and Coskun Kilic and a couple of midfielders in Nurettin Caglar and Oktay Pop,the latter signed from Tokatspor who will hopefully add a bit of fizz to the Fethiye midfield, and looked impressive in the 2 home friendly games I watched.

Fethiyespor started off the new season with a 2-1 victory at home this evening against Fatih Karagumruk. New striker Emir Gokce thought he had given Fethiye the perfect start when his flying header hit the back of the net after only 3 minutes, but the linesman had his flag up for offside.
The visitors took the lead on 30 mins when Mert Somay rose highest to head in a cross from the left, and thats how it stayed till half time.Fethiye gave it a real go at the start of the 2nd half and were rewarded when new signing Oktay Pop fired in a sparkling half volley from the edge of the box after 55 mins.Just as it looked like the game would end all square, substitute Emre Balki (who had only just come on)won a penalty after a rash challenge when not really going anywhere.
Substitute and another new signing Cemre Atmaca made the score 2-1 and Fethiye saw out 4 mins of injury time to claim the 3 points.
Fethiye are away on the Black Sea next weekend when they face Ofspor who won promotion via the play-offs last season and who drew their opening game 0-0 today.

Fethiyespor maintained their 100% record this evening with a 2-1 victory against Bucaspor. .Fethiye have only won once at Buca in their last 9 meetings but scored after only 8 mins through central defender Hakki Can Aksu. However Buca  drew level after 24 mins and it stayed 1-1 till half time.Fethiye scored the winner 12 mins into the second half when new striker Emir Gokce got his 1st goal for his new club.
Fethiye sit top of Lig 2 tonight, the only club with 6 points from 2 games played. They are at home to Ofspor next weekend who have drawn their 2 matches this season following their promotion from Lig 3.

Fethiyespor came from behind twice to draw 2-2 at home to Ofspor this evening. It only took the visitors 6 mins to take the lead as they broke quickly from a Fethiye corner. The lead only lasted 8 mins before a glancing Aytac Deniz header from another corner made it 1-1.Ofspor regained the lead on 21 mins and things got worse for Fethiye 7 mins before half time when full back Mert Er Estik got a straight red card for a studs up sliding tackle.
However the 10 men of Fethiye were not to be denied a point and Bayram Cetin powered in an equaliser after 63 mins.Ofspor had a shot crash against the bar just after, but Fethiye held on for the point.Fethiye move down to 2nd in the league and face 2 long distance away games in the following week.On Wednesday they are away to Lig 3 side Kirikhanspor in the Ziraat Cup and 3 days later play in Izmit against Kocaelispor.

Fethiyespor eased their way through to the 3rd round of the Ziraat Cup with a 3-1 win against Kirikhanspor this afternoon.Fethiye made 7 changes from Saturdays starting line up and went behind after 23 mins.Cemre Atmaca made it 1-1 after 34 mins and thats the way it stayed.
In extra time the hosts were reduced to 10 men and from the resulting penalty Atmaca made it 2-1.In the second period of extra time substitute Emre Balki made it 3-1 to Fethiye.
Another long away trip awaits Fethiye at the weekend when they travel to Izmit to play Kocaeli.

Fethiyespor lost their unbeaten record when they lost 2-0 at Kocaeli this afternoon. The hosts ( who finished last season as runners up in their Lig 2 group amassing 18 more points than Fethiye got in theirs)went ahead after 19 mins and added a second just as the game moved into injury time. That result sees Fethiye move down to 5th in the league,3 points behind the leaders.
A home game next weekend against Sivas Belediyespor who are 2 points and 6 places behind Fethiye in the current league placings and who also lost their unbeaten start to the season going down 2-1 at home today.

Fethiyespor drew Super Lig opposition in the 3rd round of The Ziraat Cup when the draw was made this afternoon. They face a long trip up to the Black Sea to face Caykur Rizespor who have been a Super Lig side for the past 4 seasons and who currently sit 16th out of 18 in that league.Ties to be played between 25th and 27th of October.

Fethiyespor produced a poor performance this afternoon as they crashed to a 3-1 home defeat to Sivas Belediyespor. The visitors were 2-0 by half time thanks to 2 headers, the 2nd going in off the post.It was 3-0 following a poor pass out of defence on the hour mark.Bayram Cetin pulled one back from a corner 5 mins later but it was no more than Fethiye deserved.Fethiye move down to 10th in the league and are away in Istanbul next weekend to face Pendikspor.
Title: Re: Fethiyespor 2016/2017

Fethiyespor made it 3 defeats on the trot when they lost 2-0 in Istanbul this afternoon to Pendikspor. Despite making 4 changes to last weeks starting line up the hosts went ahead right on the stroke of half time.Just as the game went past 90 mins, Pendik scored their second goal and claimed the 3 points.Fethiye move down to 11th in the league but that could change as this was the first game of the day in Lig 2.
A much sterner test at home for Fethiye next Sunday when they entertain Hacettepe from Ankara who are currently 5th and unbeaten this season.

Fethiyespor could only manage a 0-0 draw at home against 10 man Hacettepe this afternoon to make it 5 league games without a win.Fethiyespor playing in a rather unfamiliar all red strip shared an even first half with the visitors from Ankara who played in what looked like a Fethiyespor strip of blue and white striped shirts and white shorts, which confused some of the locals sitting near me.
The second half was a much better affair with reserve striker,22 year old,Manchester born Berat Jonathan Ustabasi seeing his shot come off the post on 49 mins Ustabasi was only playing as Fethiye had a striker shortage with Aytac Deniz,Emir Gokce and Cemre Atmaca all out injured.
On 54 mins Hacettepe were reduced to 10 men after Volcan Kilic received a 2nd yellow card.On 59 mins Ustabasi missed a glorious chance after beating 2 men only to shoot just wide with only the keeper to beat. However the game remained at 0-0, with the point seeing Fethiye in 13th place in the league, but now only 3 points above the bottom 3 teams.
An away game next weekend against Kahramanmaras where Fethiye lost 3-0 last season. Also the home side have former Fethiye striker Ugur Erdogan in their team who was joint top scorer for Fethiye last season.

Fethiyespor made it 2 draws in 2 games when they were held 2-2 at Kahramanmaras this evening.Fethiye took the lead after only 4 mins with a goal from midfielder Huseyin Atalay.Former Fethiyespor striker Ugur Erdogan equalised for the hosts after 19 mins.Just before half time the hosts were reduced to 10 men after defender Alis was shown a straight red card and Oktay Pop scored from the resultant penalty.Kahramanmaras got their 2nd goal after 70 mins but Fethiye managed to hang on for a draw, despite having midfielder Yildirim and striker Ustabasi both sent off in the last 10 mins for 2 yellow cards.Fethiye stay 13th in the league on 9 points.
Fethiye are in Ziraat Cup action on Tuesday night when they travel up to the Black Sea to face Super Lig side Caykur Rizespor.Hopefully Rize might have one eye on their home derby in the Lig next Sunday when they entertain neighbours Trabzonspor.  ;)

Fethiyespor lost their 3rd round Ziraat Cup match 3-0 this evening against Rizespor.Fethiye made 5 changes to the team that started on Sunday and had 7 players missing due to injury and suspensions. They included 16 year old Anil Aricioglu and 18 year old Enes Dada in their line up.
Their hosts made 11 changes from their last Super Lig match and it was Polish striker Tuszynski who opened the scoring after 9 mins.Turkish U21 international Emrah Bassan made it 2-0 after 58 mins and Rize got their 3rd 2 mins from time.
Fethiye return to league action on Sunday with a tough looking home match against 4th placed Amed Sportif who ended current league leaders Keciorengucu's unbeaten record at the weekend, and beat them again tonight in the Cup.

Fethiyespor made it 7 league games without a win when they lost 2-0 at home this afternoon to Amed Sportif from Diyarbakir. The first half was pretty even although the game got rather feisty just before half time.
The visitors picked up all 3 points thanks to 2 goals in 5 minutes of the 2nd half, on 66 and 71 mins and thats the way the match finished.Fethiye are down to 14th in the league with 9 points from 9 games and are just 2 points above the relegation zone.
Away match next week for Fethiye when they travel to play Konya Anadolu Selcukspor who are 4 places and 2 points above Fethiye. However on their last 2 visits to Konya , Fethiye have won 1-0 and 2-1.  :)

Fethiyespor made it 3 wins in 3 seasons when they beat Konya Selcukspor 1-0 at the Konya Ataturk Stadium this afternoon. After a fairly even first half with both teams having good chances the hosts were reduced to 10 men on 54 mins after a bad tackle on Fethiyespor captain Mert Er Estik.Konya had the better chances following the sending off and should have scored 7 mins from time when they hit the crossbar and then fired wide from the rebound.3 mins from time Aytac Deniz hit the post for Fethiye but in the 91st minute an Oktay Pop free kick was headed down and into the net from Konya defender Volcan Kocaloglu. This was only Fethiye's third goal in the last 6 matches but it earned them 3 points.
Fethiye move up two places to 11th on 12 points and have a local derby on Wednesday at home to Nazilli next.Dont expect many goals in this one as Fethiye have only scored 10 in 10 games and Nazilli are the 2nd lowest scorers in the league with 7.Also in the last 2 years Fethiye have won this fixture 1-0 on both occasions.

Bayram Cetin came up Top Trumps for Fethiyespor this afternoon with an acrobatic overhead kick to equalize in the 95th minute against Nazilli. After a fairly even 1st half the visitors took the lead following a corner after 51 mins,Ozden scoring from close range.Fethiye brought on 3 attacking substitutes in the 2nd half to switch to a 4-3-3 formation but the best they could manage was an Oktay Pop effort tipped over the crossbar. That was until centre back Cetin scored his 3rd goal of the season to rescue a point for Fethiye.
Fethiye are now 12th with 13 points but are only 3 points above the relegation zone again.A tough away match on Sunday to 3rd placed Istanbulspor who were runners-up in this league last season.Fethiye however did manage to draw against them in both of the meetings against them last year.

Fethiyespor lost their 2nd game in their last 6 league matches when they lost 2-1 at Istanbulspor this afternoon. All the goals came in the 2nd half with the hosts taking the lead on 52 mins.Oguzhan Yildirim with his first goal of the season drew the sides level on 68 mins but the home side won the game scoring 12 mins from time. Fethiye move down 2 places to 14th in the league, but none of the 4 teams below them picked up any points today either.
A home game for Fethiye next Sunday against one of the teams below them,Tepecikspor also from Istanbul.Tepecik have a good recent record against Fethiye winning 4 of the last 5 games against them, including the last 2 matches at Fethiye.

New manager syndrome worked for Fethiyespor with new boss Akif Basaran guiding Fethiye to a 1-0 victory this afternoon. In truth it was a somewhat turgid affair with only a few half chances and it took 70 mins for Fethiye to score against the league's worst defence when Aytac Deniz netted his 2nd goal of the season. However a win is a win and Fethiye move up to 11th in the league with 16 points.
Away to the Black Sea for Fethiye when they take on the Black Diamonds of Zonguldak who were promoted from Lig 3 last season via the play offs. They currently sit 3 points and 3 places above Fethiye in the league table.

Fethiyespor gained a creditable 1-1 draw this afternoon against Zonguldak Komurspor. The game came to life in the 2nd half when Zonguldak opened the scoring with a penalty 2 mins after the restart but Bekir Ozan Has equalised, also from the penalty spot on the hour mark, and thats the way it stayed. That point keeps Fethiye in 11th place on 17 points.
A home game next weekend when Fethiye entertain Anadolu Uskudar from Istanbul.Anadolu are 5 places and 6 points behind Fethiye.Looks like it will be a low scoring match as Anadolu are the leagues lowest scorers with 8 goals in 14 matches and Fethiye have only scored 7 in their last 10 games.

As promised it was a low scoring game today as Fethiye drew at home 0-0 with Anadolu Uskudar.Despite Fethiye lining up in a 4-4-2 formation it was the visitors from Istanbul who had the better of the first half.Fethiye improved somewhat after the break but could still not get a goal. The visitors were reduced to 10 men in the 88th min when defender Seyis received a 2nd yellow card but still managed to hold on for a point.Fethiye remain in 11th place on 18 points as none of the bottom 10 sides won today.
A tough away game in Ankara next week for Fethiye against 5th placed Keciorengucu, who have beaten Fethiye on their last 4 visits. Also in Yildiray Kocal they have the leagues top scorer so far this season.

Fethiyespor earned a very creditable 1-1 draw this afternoon in Ankara against high flying Keciorengucu,to maintain new manager Akif Basaran's unbeaten record since he took charge 4 games ago.The game was 0-0 at half time and things looked bad for Fethiye when the hosts went ahead with 12 mins remaining, and 2 mins later centre half Hakki Can Aksu received a 2nd yellow card. However as the game moved into injury time substitute Huseyin Atalay scored his 2nd goal of the season to ensure Fethiye came away with a point.Fethiye move down one place to 12th on 19 points.
A tough home game next for Fethiye (the last before the winter break) when they take on Buyuksehir Belediye Erzurumspor from N.E.Turkey,next weekend.Erzurumspor have taken to life in Lig 2 really well following their promotion as champions from Lig 3 last season and currently sit 2nd in the league and with 33 goals already, they are the top scorers as well.

Fethiyespor's four game unbeaten run came to an end this afternoon as they lost 1-0 to high flying Erzurumspor with the visitors scoring deep into injury time. The first half was fairly even and Fethiye went close on 3 occasions with curled efforts from Hakan Kutlu that were either tipped over by the keeper or just too high.Erzurum thought they had taken the lead on 28 mins with a clever back heel from a right wing cross but the flag was up for offside.
As the 2nd half wore on the visitors looked more likely to score and sub Mehmet Albayrak should have scored with a clear header from 6 yards with 20 mins remaining. However with the last cross of the game he did score with a bullet header to hand the 3 points to the visitors and send the 250 odd fans from Erzurum home happy as their team now top the league.Fethiye remain in 12th but are only 3 points clear of the bottom three.
No games now for 3 weeks due to the mid-winter break.Fethiye are back in action on January 15th away in Istanbul to Fatih Karagumruk.

Most of the home games Trainer.
So Fethiyespor managed just 4 wins in their 17 games in this half of the season, along with 7 draws and 6 defeats. They scored 15 goals and conceded 21.Top scorer was centre half Bayram Cetin with 3 goals. The lack of goals scored has hampered their progress so far this season and if new players are to come in during the transfer window then a new striker should be top of the new manager's wish list.

Fethiyespor went goal crazy this afternoon as they thumped Bucaspor 4-0 at home this afternoon.Right back Eray Acikgoz opened the scoring after 37 mins in his 1st game for the club since signing from Tokatspor during the Transfer Window. In the 2nd half Buca were reduced to 10 men after 69 mins and thats when Fethiye took control.Bayram Cetin with his 4th goal of the season scored after 70 mins,Huseyin Atalay grabbed a 3rd on 77 mins and Cemre Atmaca the 4th on 90 mins.
Fethiye move up to 10th in the table on 25 points and are up on the Black Sea next weekend against bottom of the table Ofspor who were thumped 5-0 today. :D

Fethiyespor made it 3 wins out of 3 since the Winter Break when they won 2-1 this afternoon at bottom of the table Ofspor. Fethiye went ahead after 11 mins when Bekir Ozan Has scored from the penalty spot. Striker Emir Gokce grabbed his 2nd goal of the season after 27 mins to make it 2-0. The hosts pulled a goal back early in the second half put Fethiye managed to hang on and claim only their 3rd away win of the season.
Fethiye move up to 7th in the league with 28 points. A tougher looking game next weekend when Fethiye entertain 3rd placed Kocaelispor who are 8 points above Fethiye in the table and beat Fethiye 2-0 when the teams met earlier in the season.

Fethiyespor's mini revival of 3 wins on the trot came to an end this afternoon as they lost 2-1 at home to high flying Kocaelispor. It was a fairly even first half of few real chances until the 37th minute when Kocaeli's top scorer Onur Garip deflected a shot past Fethiye keeper Kubilay.Fethiye started the 2nd half much the better side and deservedly leveled when Aytac Deniz scored his 3rd goal of thr season on 57 mins. Fethiye continued to press looking for the win,but in the 91st minute they were caught short of numbers at the back and Kocaeli regained their lead, and held on to take the 3 points.
Fethiye move down to 9th in the league and are 10 points off the play-off places but only 6 points clear of the relegation places.Fethiye may regret their decision not to invest in a new striker during the January transfer window as they do not seem able to compete with the better teams in this league.Fethiye have yet to beat any of the 8 teams above them in the league this season and are away at 6th placed Sivas Belediyespor next weekend, who won 3-1 at Fethiye earlier in the season.

For the second week running, Fethiyespor lost following an injury time goal.Last week it was Kocaeli this week at 6th placed Sivas Belediyespor. After a goal-less 1st half the hosts took the lead in the 73rd minute.5 mins later Bekir Ozan Has equalized from the penalty spot, his second penalty in consecutive away games. However as the game went into added time Emrah Bedir netted for Sivas to deny Fethiye a hard fought draw.Fethiye stay 9th in the league for the moment, but all the rest of the fixtures are tomorrow.
Fethiye are at home next weekend to Pendikspor from Istanbul.Pendik won 2-0 at home earlier in the season but Fethiye won the corresponding fixture last season 4-0.

Fethiyespor made it 3 defeats in 3 games as they lost 2-0 at home to Pendikspor this afternoon. In a goal-less first half of few real chances, the best of which fell to striker Emir Gokce, who curled a shot just over the bar, then saw his header come back off the post straight into the goalkeepers arms.Gokce had a further chance in the 2nd half with a shot that the keeper tipped around the post. However it was the visitors who took the lead on 67 mins when after a spell of pinball in the Fethiye penalty area Ozturk found a shot that beat the Fethiye keeper.Worse was to follow 10 mins later when a mistake from defender Yeniceli gave the ball away to Yilmaz who made it 2-0 to the visitors.
Fethiye remain 11th in the league but are now only 5 points above the relegation zone.An away game next weekend in the capital against Haceteppe who are 2nd from bottom.Fethiye do not have a good record against this team, failing to win in their last 5 matches, and losing the last 2 games in Ankara 3-0 and 2-0.

Fethiyespor lost their 4th game on the trot when they went down 1-0 against Hacettepe  this afternoon. The hosts scored through their top scorer Noyan Oz in the 94th minute of the match to drag Fethiye into a relegation battle.Fethiye move down to 12th in the league but are just 4 points clear of the Drop Zone.A must win home match next weekend when Fethiye entertain Kahramanmarasspor who are 1 place and 1 point below Fethiye. The teams drew 2-2 earlier in the season and drew 0-0 in the same fixture last season.

Fethiyespor came from behind to salvage a point against Kahramanmaras this afternoon. It was a game of few real chances with the visitors clearly looking to return home with a point and both keepers not unduly overworked. The best chance fell to Cemre Atmaca on the hour mark which the keeper pushed past the post for a corner.
The game sprung to life in the 4 added mins of injury time.First towering central defender Evren Horozal headed the visitors into the lead from a corner, which was the 3rd goal conceded in injury time by Fethiye in the last 4 matches. This prompted a mass exodus from the ground by disgruntled Fethiyespor fans, however with 94 mins gone an Emre Balki cross managed to find Cemre Atmaca in the box and he scored his 3rd league goal of the season.
Fethiye remain 12th in the league on 29 points, still only 4 clear of the relegation zone.A long away trip to Diyarbakir in S.E.Turkey up next for Fethiye when they play Amed Sportif who are currently 3rd in the table ,16 points ahead of Fethiye and also beat Fethiye 2-0 earlier in the season.

Fethiyespor made it 5 defeats in 6 games as they lost 1-0 away to 3rd placed Amed Sportif yesterday. An own goal scored in the 66th minute by either Hakki Can Aksu or Oguzhan Yildirim, depending on which report you read, was the difference between the sides.
Fethiye move down to 14th in the table, still just 4 points above the bottom three.A big game coming up on Wednesday at home to Konya Selcukspor who are now 3 places and 3 points above Fethiye.A good omen for Fethiye however is that in the last 5 meetings between the sides, Fethiye have won all 5.

Fethiyespor continued their downward spiral towards relegation as they lost 2-0 at home to Konya Selcukspor yesterday. Former Fethiye winger Ali Dere scored for the visitors on 78 mins with a second goal coming 5 mins from time. Thats just 1 point from the last 7 games for Fethiye who remain 14th in the league but now only 3 points above the relegation zone.
An away game next for Fethiye on Sunday at nearish neighbours Nazilli, who are 7 points and 5 places above them. The teams drew 1-1 earlier in the season and Fethiye have lost 2-0 and won 2-0 on their last 2 visits to Nazilli.

And following on from that Simon,Fethiyespor have parted company with their Technical Director Akif Basaran yesterday, after a dismal run of 1 point from the last 7 games that has seen them slide into a relegation struggle this season. In his 4 months in charge Arif managed 4 wins,4 draws and 7 losses for the team.Just 7 games left to avoid the drop for Fethiyespor who play 3 of the top 5 sides in those last 7 matches.

Manager-less Fethiyespor managed to grind out a welcome draw this afternoon, away at Nazilli. With U-16 coach Ali Abbak in charge Fethiye earned only their 2nd point in their last 8 games. With 3 of the 4 clubs below them losing today Fethiye remain 14th in the league on 30 points, now 4 above the relegation zone.
It doesn't get any easier for Fethiye as they are at home next weekend to league leaders Istanbulspor who are currently 5 points clear at the top. They beat Fethiye 2-1 earlier in the season, but last year both matches between the sides ended as draws.

Fethiyespor have appointed 42 year old Fatih Kavlak as their new Technical Director. A relatively inexperienced coach having only been in charge of Lig 2 side Hatayspor for 21 matches this season. He lost his job at the end of January following a poor run of form that saw Hatay win 1 out of 6 games. He will take charge of Fethiyespor on Sunday when they face league leaders Istanbulspor.

Fethiyespor gave it a good go against top of the table Istanbulspor this afternoon but still went down 2-1 to make it 9 games without a win. For the first 50 mins it looked like Fethiye were the league leaders with the visitors kept in their own half and Fethiye having several corners and free kicks. However Fethiye lacked the killer pass or cross and were made to pay twice when their defence was split open to allow Ibrahim Yilmaz to score after 56 and 69 mins.
Cemre Atmaca pulled one back for the hosts on 76 mins but the Istanbul defence held firm for the last 14 mins to take home the 3 points.
Fethiye remain 14th but with Fatih Karagumruk, the only team in the bottom 5 to win, they are now just 1 point above the bottom 3.
Fethiye are away to Tepecikspor from Istanbul next weekend, who are 2nd from bottom and 4 points behind Fethiye. Earlier in the season Fethiye won 1-0, which was also the same result when the teams last met in Istanbul 4 years ago.

Last game of the season is away to Erzurumspor on April 29th.
Should Fethiyespor get relegated they would play in one of the 3 groups in Lig 3 where currently Muglaspor and Bodrumspor play. However Bodrumspor are 6 points clear at the top of their group so it looks like they will be playing Lig 2 football next season.

Need a win from somewhere as it's looking like relegation

And it got no better for Fethiyespor today as they were thumped 5-1 away in Istanbul against a 10 man Tepecikspor. The hosts opened the scoring after 20 mins with Halil Celik scoring.Emir Gokce pulled a goal back for Fethiye on the half hour mark and thats how it stayed till half time. Tepecik took the lead on 54 mins with top scorer Omer Yalcin netting his 7th goal of the season.10 mins later Tepecik went down to 10 men as central defender Iseyin got his 2nd yellow card.
However there was to be no comeback for Fethiye as Celik got his 2nd goal on 85 mins and Yalcin his 2nd in the 1st minute of injury time. With the last kick of the match Celik got his hat-trick,scoring from a free kick.
Fethiye remain 1 point above the relegation zone on 30 points, but now have 3 teams below them on 29 points,2 of whom play tomorrow.A home game next weekend against 7th placed Zonguldak. When the teams met earlier in the season the match ended 1-1.

Fethiyespor produced the comeback of comebacks this afternoon to defeat play-off chasing Zonguldak and to aid their own battle against relegation. With 74 mins gone things looked bleak for the home side as goals in the 17th,70th and 73rd minutes had put the visitors from the Black Sea well ahead and Fethiye staring at relegation to Lig 3.
With an exodus of home fans heading out of the ground a brace of goals from centre half Bayram Cetin who had been sent up to play centre forward gave the team and the fans some hope.On 82 mins Hakan Kutlu cut in from the right and scored from the edge of the box. Then with 4 mins to go Cemre Atmaca made it 4-3 to Fethiye and to send the crowd wild. There was still time for Emir Gocke to get sent off after receiving a 2nd yellow card with 1 min to go.However the 10 men of Fethiye hung on to claim their 1st win since January 29th,but still sink into the relegation zone on goal difference.
An away game next Friday (due to Referendum Reg) in Istanbul against Anadolu Uskudar who are the team that swopped places with Fethiye today after they won 4-1 away from home.Earlier in the season the sides drew 0-0 but Anodolu have a very good home record, with only 1  defeat in their last 12 home matches.

A late equaliser from Oktay Pop deep into injury time rescued a point for Fethiyespor and kept alive their hopes of avoiding relegation. The hosts from Istanbul went ahead with a penalty after 76 mins before Pop's 4th goal of the season rescued a point.Fethiye remain in 16th place on 34 points, kept in the relegation zone by having an inferior goal difference, to Anodolu.
Last home game of the season next Sunday for Fethiye when they take on 6th placed Keciorengucu, from Ankara. The sides drew 1-1 earlier in the season but the visitors have the leagues top scorer in Yildiray Kocal who has netted 17 times this season. Both sides need the 3 points, Fethiye to try and climb out of the bottom 3 and Keciorengucu to get their play off hopes back on track after 2 league defeats in their last 2 games.

Fethiyespor produced a fine performance at home yesterday beating play-off chasing Keciorengucu 3-0 to help boost their fight to avoid relegation to Lig 3. Fethiye got the perfect start after just 2 mins when Cemre Atmaca was felled in the box and then scored from the resulting penalty. Just before half time Hakan Kutlu made it 2-0 for the hosts.Despite sitting on their lead in the 2nd half  and inviting Keciorengucu to come forward, the visitors from Ankara never really looked like scoring and Cemre Atmaca got his 7th goal of the season after 82 mins to make the game safe for Fethiye.
That win and defeat for Anadolu put Fethiye 3 points above the drop zone, and with a 4 goal better goal difference over the Istanbul side,Fethiye just have to get a point to be safe next week when they face 3rd placed Erzurumspor. When the teams met earlier in the season Erzurumspor beat Fethiye with a 93rd minute goal. Also Fethiye's defenders will have to be on their guard as Erzurumspor are the leagues top goal scorers this season with 56 goals.
