Has anybody had an alarm fitted in Turkey, Either wireless or wired!? I am trapvelling out shortly and after all THE crime that is happening i am very worried and ill at ease. Was wondering if anybody could recommend a good alarm specialist who could come and fig an alarm system at our villa for us. Thanks.

Buy a Yale wireless alarm in B&Q and bring it here, easy to fit and being battery, it's unaffected by power cuts, I'm going to change the batteries in mine next week, they've been in for three years and still going strong.

If you are on Facebook search Mehmet Tekkardes - he is on here too I think but I can't remember his user name. He does full alarm installations and certainly sounds like he knows his stuff. He also runs a FB group - Hisaronu Security or similar.

He is a member of a group on Facebook which is about crime in the local areas. I am a member but am useless at copying things, but if you search for crime in calis, Fethiye hisoronu, Olu Deniz ,it will probably come up.

Thanks everybody. I had actually seen the post on the crime in Fethiye Facebook site, from meh met introducing himself, but with the very cynical and untrusting mode I am in at present, I wasn't sure if that was just another con! But if you have heard of him before scanner, and he is recommended then I shall contact him. Thanks again. Sue
