Post by: Highlander on August 12, 2014, 19:29:15 PM
Not his birthday, nor his anniversary but I'd like to wish the lovely fella that diverbaz1 is, good luck with the treatment of his recently diagnosed health problems.

Take care my friend.

Thank you guys, I have been diagnosed as having diabetes, so it is now just a matter of controlling it, albeit my tests results quite high.

I was having difficulty walking, which I had been putting down to overdoing the hashing, and quite a large weight loss, which poor Kaz is always having to battle with, I do nothing and it was dropping off me (last week was 5kg). But add to that feeling weak and tired all the time.

There is no history in my family of this, in fact my sisters comment was "I don't think I even know anybody with Diabetes". She does now   :)

Just as an aside, I am so glad we took the SGK option when it was offered.

A friend was diagnosed with diabetes a couple of years ago.  At first, like you, his count was very high and he was put on injections until it was under control.   It is controlled now by diet and tablets.

I'm sure they will get yours under control quickly and have you feeling so much better.  Good luck
