Title: Expanding foam spray
Post by: Karennina on August 25, 2018, 10:08:26 AM
Not tradesmen related so please feel free to move to correct section.
Someone told me about expanding foam you can buy in a spray tin in UK so im guessing its an aeorsol can which I now know cant go on a plane...is this available to buy at d.i,y shops in Fethiye anyone know please, I want to spray every possible place that cockroaches may get in to hopefully avoid a repeat of my last horrid experience...iv left a draft excluder pushed up at the front door and we exited out the back so fingers crossed this will have helped stop the blighters getting in

I would have thought expanding foam is the 2nd most prolific used pioduct used by Turkish tradesmen - just behind silicone sealant.

Hi Karennina - this is the voice of experience talking - make sure you wear rubber gloves when you use it because if you get that stuff on your skin it sticks worse than superglue and it's the devil's own job to get it off. The cans in the uk come with a pair of gloves inside the lid. Don't fill the gap to the top as, as the name suggests it expands to fill the gap but it's easily cut off with a sharp craft knife AFTER it's cured to a solid lump. Cut it off too early and that's when you risk getting it all over you.

Had it in Tekzen this pm at IRO 30 try for quite a large aerosol. It wasn't too far thro the door & was on a shelf on the end of one of the main aisles.

Homeprof have it too and it’s usually a bit cheaper.
Last time I bought, it was a green Sistia brand can.
