Liver and onions!  Now you're talking Scunner.

It's a wonder I don't have iron overdose when I get back home the number of times I have that in a restaurant there.  I have had the most delicious liver and onions in Calis but don't think I've ever tried Sardunya.

One for the list of things to do in May!  :D

Ocakbasi - went tonight - absolutely superb!

Only complaint - I didn't know it was there before yesterday.

Sat right in front of barbeque so was nice and warm.

Meat (lamb) so tender - definitely going to be going back there with the girls.

Whereabouts are Ockabasi and Sardunya ? I usually try Sedkin in Gunlukbasi for authentic.

Directions for Ocakbasi in the link {A Link to an old CBF topic was here - no longer available}20445 Steve - Sardunya is in Calis, as you walk down towards the wooden bridge, turn left as if going to Scarlett Bar and it is on the right hand side where Scarlett is on the left at the bottom  :)

When we ate at the Sardunya restaurant last year, they came over to the table, when we were eating, and poured us some mineral water from a litre bottle, which we hadn't asked for, but for which we were later charged. We had assumed it was on the house, as other restaurants had come to the table with freebies. Yes, I know we should have asked and yes I know mistakes happen, but we were the only customers in that night, apart from a table full of their family and friends. So if going to the Sardunya, just question if something arrives, you have not ordered.

We have eaten at the Sardunya and they usually give you something free, like melon at the end of the meal.  My husband is addicted to the Liver & Onion and says it's the best he ever tasted.  Also they serve a really big glass of wine, not a small measure like the other restaurants.
