Thanks Marggie. The duck made it into an expensive meal, never mind the Sprite AND a Coke. Apart from the Duck, nothing is what I would describe as expensive. Its definitely no dearer than in the UK. We normally get 2 mains and a portion of Rice and Noodles, the portions are large and there is always enough left for another meal the following day.  ;)

Frankly I couldn't give a duck, ( Clark Gable)  about the shanghai blues Jack, when they increased prices by over 40% I gave up on them.  by the way if anyone cares to look at their menu they will see no 88, Duck in hot sauce 49.90 lira, if  anyone thinks that is good value, go ahead and enjoy.   ;)

First proper night (arrived this morning) back here & very close to shanghai blues & really enjoyed it last time & had planned to eat there tonight,  yes a bit pricey but still very good,  may treat myself  but go easy on the drink,  one beer and a take away.    ;)

Its definitely no dearer than in the UK.
Once upon a time, people used to to say "So cheap, compared with the UK". Now it is "No dearer than the UK". How much longer before it is "Not really all that much more than in the UK"?. I feel a proverb about a goose and some golden eggs coming on.
