Visa
« on: January 19, 2020, 16:56:01 PM »
Have a friend who is coming out to Fethiye on 20 Feb. She has a current e visa which expires on 22 March. She had two week holiday last September. She would like to stay for 3 months.
Any advice on how she can do this would be appreciated.
Thanks

To be on the safe side and to make things less complicated, i would of thought it would be better to just buy a new one   :)

I'm no expert either Highlander, but I'm not sure you can do that. Think she'll need to get a new one starting on 20th Feb but if she's coming for 3 months make sure she doesn't go over 90 days.

You can have two visas overlapping but you need to enter and exit  Turkey on the same visa so make sure she enters on the one that will be current on exiting.
Remember the 90 day thing is counted backwards from your departure day but if she is planning to stay until May the September trip will no longer count...
If she overstays at all expect a fine and a trip to the “visa violation” kiosk which husband had to do last year at Istanbul...

No need for UK residents to buy visas to visit Turkey after 2nd March 2020.

A saving of around £28 so even with the tourist tax the Govt are doing their bit for tourism.
